So, you are in your middle age right now. You probably know yourself even better and established your own identity, you are probably living your dream and have this awesome chosen career. But what happens if you are feeling lost or stuck in your career? In this case, you are in your mid-career crisis. Just like in mid-life crisis, mid-career crisis is define by a sensation of feeling stuck specifically in your career. These are the people who are looking for a professional development or career growth or maybe their purpose in a deeper level.
I, myself is a self confessed in a mid-career crisis. Yes, I have my career as an Assistant Sales Administration Manager in a huge company in the Philippines. But there’s inside of me that I felt stuck and still searching for that certain fulfillment or perhaps my purpose as far as my career is concern. I'm sure that you will agree with me that the option of quitting my 9-5 job is not wise decision to make (right now) in this pandemic situation all over the country.
How to cope up with mid-career crisis & considering Freelancing.
Way before this pandemic affected the country, I always wanted to be a freelancer. Maybe the word freedom is mainly the reason. The freedom from 9-5 routine, the freedom from the everyday commuting stress, the freedom to go to places without asking permission to take vacation leave from your boss, the value of time spent with your loved ones.
